    Double Team

Reader poll: Best local boys soccer team?

Posted at 11:26 am by Mike Cane, Herald Writer

Washington sure has a reputation for having great soccer talent.

In the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas national poll, three teams from this state are in the top 20: No. 1 Bellarmine Prep, No. 4 Camas and No. 19 Pasco.

In the NSCAA/adidas Region V poll — which covers Alaska, California and Washington — Bellarmine Prep, Camas and Pasco are 1-2-3; eighth-ranked Shorewood is the only local team on the list.

Both polls were released April 15. The next rankings come out April 28.

According to the regional rankings, Shorewood is the premier boys soccer team in our area. Do you agree? If the Thunderbirds of the Wesco South aren’t the best around, who is? Share your opinion by voting in this Double Team poll. Explain your choice in the comments section.
