Timely as ever

Greed redux: Oliver Stone and Michael Douglas are teaming up for a sequel to "Wall Street," their 1987 film about corporate evildoers.

The movie's still on the drawing board, but we can safely assume that Douglas' character, the reptilian Gordon Gekko, who famously declared that greed is good, will now assert that bailouts at the taxpayers' expense are super-incredibly awesome.

All smiles: Smiley, the Whidbey Island pooch who was on doggie death row for aggressive behavior, has a new lease on life with a Mill Creek rescue group.

After Smiley's finished with his training, he'll growl at reptilian Wall Street types only, and he'll get dog biscuits for it.

Say it ain't so: The Ultimate Frisbee team at the University of Oregon had its season cut short because team members played a game in the nude.

You might say that the Ducks finally have a sports scandal to match the 2000 Husky football team.

Or you might say that telling Ultimate Frisbee players they can't run around like naked hippies is like telling bowlers they can't smoke Merit Light 100s.
