Wednesday, May 6, 2009 | 12:10 pm
Quick update: The Lake Stevens versus Edmonds-Woodway district play-in baseball game scheduled for 4 p.m. today has been postponed because of rain. (Aargh!) The game has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Edmonds-Woodway High.
The Thursday forecast looks pretty crummy too, so this game might not happen until Friday.

The baseball playoffs are here.
Weather permitting, I will cover the Lake Stevens versus Edmonds-Woodway district play-in game this afternoon in Edmonds. The winner advances to the Class 4A District 1 tournament; the loser will end its season.
E-W, which I watched lose to Wesco South champion Shorewood Monday in Shoreline, is 13-7 and the South No. 4 seed. Lake Stevens (10-10) is the Wesco North No. 5 seed. The winner will play North champ Marysville-Pilchuck (17-3) 1 p.m. Saturday in Marysville.
So which team will prevail in 4A District 1 tournament? Check out the bracket. The top three squads in the tourney will qualify for state regionals.
