Are you good enough to be AquaSox Idol?
The search is on, so you have to ask yourself: Do you have what it takes to become the next AquaSox Idol?
The Everett AquaSox Baseball Club is hunting for the next group of talented singers to belt out the "Star Spangled Banner," "God Bless America" and "O Canada" at AquaSox games during the 2009 season. Registration for the tryouts is under way and limited to the first 60 who apply. Hopefuls must register by calling 425-258-3673. Each applicant will be assigned a scheduled time to audition before a panel of judges at the tryout.
Tryouts are scheduled to be held May 16 at Northgate Mall, 401 NE Northgate Way, Seattle. All applicants will be required to use only their voice, sing only one of the three songs, memorize the lyrics and complete the song in under two minutes.
Each participant will be publicly critiqued, a la "American Idol," and either excused or selected to perform at one of this season's AquaSox games. All registered participants will receive a gift bag the day of the tryout.
The AquaSox home opener is June 23.
