Athletic.net state track and field leaders: Cascades Brittany Jones still reigns in discus

Before the track and field postseason begins next week, there are several highly anticipated rivalry meets. Two big ones take place today.
*Cascade, Everett and Jackson at Everett All-City Championships, 4:30 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium
*Edmonds-Woodway, Lynnwood, Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace at Edmonds School District championships, 3:30 p.m. at Edmonds District Stadium
Looking at the Athletic.net state leaderboards, Cascade senior Brittany Jones is the only local competitor ranked No. 1 in an event in all classifications. Jones still has the top discus throw (135 feet, 9 inches). Battle Ground’s Gabi Dixson ranks second with a throw of 135-4.
