Opportunities

Volunteer: Hospice solicits caring souls

Providence Hospice and Home Care is in need of some compassionate volunteers.

A free information session to review opportunities will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. June 17 in downtown Everett.

To register and get location information, call 425-261-4815.

Benefit: Join walk for Granite Falls boy

A 5K run and walk for 5-year-old Dylan Klepper will be held at 10 a.m. May 30 at 405 N. Alder Ave., Granite Falls.

Dylan is a local boy who has cancer. He had brain surgery in February and is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. All proceeds from the event will go to Dylan's family to help with the costs of his recovery.

Registration for the 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. A silent auction and barbecue will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information and registration, go to DylansDay.com or call 425-422-6614.

Volunteer: Help out at Blackman House

The Snohomish Historical Society is looking for volunteer docents to host 30-minute tours of the Blackman House Museum on weekend afternoons through the summer and fall.

Society president Warner Blake will conduct training sessions at 1 p.m. Saturday and May 30 at Blackman House Museum, 118 Ave. B, Snohomish. Tea and refreshments will be available.

For more information, go to blackmanhouse.org or call 360-568-5235.
