CCCA President Don Berry presents winner’s trophy to Ford Drag Team Bob Wilson.

From Kent Magruder of the Car Club Challenge Association:

Captain Bob Wilson of Marysville drove his 10 second 2007 Shelby Mustang to victory over Garvie Cooper of Arlington in his Fox body Mustang.

The Mopar Drag Team continued to close in on the 2nd place position held by the Pacific N.W. Camaro Club, by putting two of their cars in the semi-finals. Steve Neel n his 2006 Dodge Magnum and Dustin Ward in his 1968 Dodge Dart . The semis had two Fords and two Mopars. Captain Bob, who is called captain because he is captain of a fishing vessel in the off season, defeated Steve Neel, and Cooper defeated Ward.

This set-up an all Ford Drag Team final, with Wilson and his Shelby taking home the winner’s trophy.

The P.N.W.Camaro Club is thus far holding off the Mopar Drag Team, and hoping that some of the new Camaro's hitting the dealers will be joining the team. The fight for 2nd place at this point of the season is shaping up to be a real tight fight.

Current CCCA standings:

1 Ford Drag Team 3178
2 Pacific NW Camaro Club 1795
3 Mopar Drag Team 1732
4 NW Muscle Car Association 938
5 NW Fbody 914
6 Seattle Club Grand Prix 404
