Baby's first iPhone

Look, he tweeted "Dada": Parents of young children are learning that their iPhones and other smartphones can be handy in soothing a fussy baby. Applications allow for the devices to be used as baby monitors, flash cards and even rattles.

And nothing amuses Baby more than throwing a $500 electronic device on the floor so Daddy can pick it up again and again and again.

E-Span: The Everett City Council plans to stream live videos of its public meetings online so residents can stay informed.

Here's what you do: Grab your iPhone, tune in to a City Council meeting and place it next to the crib when it's Baby's nap time.

Harsh education techniques: As part of their studies of medieval times, two Marysville Middle School seventh-graders helped build a full-scale model of a pillory for the school's medieval fair. Each boy took a turn locked into the ancient torture device while the other pelted the pilloried peasant with foam "rocks."

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-I Thought They Said "Surfboarding," denied she had been briefed about the pillory, while former Vice President Dick Cheney, R-Fox News' Green Room, offered to buy the pillory when the boys were done with it.
