Coach Heather Tarr held up the NCAA trophy to about 200 fans who greeted the team Wednesday at Sea-Tac Airport with cheers and music from members of the marching band. The Huskies beat Florida 3-2 Tuesday night at Oklahoma City to claim their first title at the Women's College World Series. It capped a three-week postseason road trip. The team will be celebrated at Friday's Mariners game at Safeco Field where national-player-of the-year and world series MVP Danielle Lawrie will throw out the first pitch. The team also plans a celebration with fans at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Don James Center on campus.
