Robbins' HR helps Team Rainier win at All-State Baseball Tournament

James Robbins of Shorecrest and two other local high school baseball players helped Team Rainier defeat Team St. Helens 10-7 Saturday at the All-State Baseball Tournament in Yakima.
Coach Scott Goldsberry said Robbins hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning, and Rainier held on to get the win at Parker Field at Yakima Valley Community College.
Cameron Padron of Cedarcrest started and pitched three innings, surrendering two hits. Travis Cook of Cedarcrest played in the outfield and will pitch today against Team Adams, which defeated Team Baker 11-7 in the other game Saturday.
Devin Peterson of Marysville-Pilchuck stood out for St. Helens by batting 2-for-3 with an RBI.
