4TH AMENDMENT

Snohomish police did their jobs

In response to the Monday editorial, "Suspicion goes overboard," I have to disagree with an $8,000 settlement and The Herald's idea that Snohomish police were wrong. We have domestic terrorists and the murders of Dr. Tiller and military recruiter Private Long are evidence of these people. I am sure the Earth Liberation Front has many circled maps in their library of targets.

It is apparent now that Professor Scheier was just taking photographs for her own study, but should local police ignore a possible scouting job by possible terrorists? Ms. Scheier was not mistreated or harassed and after being checked out by the FBI was released.

We should support local law enforcement in the vigilance at protecting our homeland and tell them to keep up the good work. I am sure the people in Los Angeles are happy for the border agents who stopped the "Millenium Bomber."
