YOUNGER GENERATION

Look around -- our future is in good hands

I recently had an experience that I would like to share.

I stopped by a local Safeway a couple nights ago to pick up some flowers to bring to dinner at a friend's house. We got to talking with the gentleman who came to wrap up the flowers for us ... we found out he had just graduated from high school the previous Thursday. We found out he was a volunteer firefighter in Arlington Heights, we found out he has a more lucrative opportunity in Kitsap County in the same field, we found out he is doing food service at a car show on Father's Day at a church...

He did a great job assembling our flowers with baby's breath and ribbon. A refreshing revelation came over me -- if Shawn and people his age, like him, are our future, we won't have to worry! Thanks, Shawn, and good luck to you!
