Motorcycle, State Patrol cruiser collide in Monroe

MONROE -- A motorcyclist late Sunday morning crashed into a State Patrol car making a U-turn.

Medics were called just before noon to Highway 522 near the 154th Street SE overpass, Monroe Fire Department Battalion Chief LeRoy Schwartz said. They drove the motorcycle driver, who suffered minor injuries, to a hospital.

The motorcyclist was traveling along the highway when the patrol trooper in front of him started to turn around, Schwartz said. The vehicles collided.
