Archbishop Murphy's Quinlan wins scholarship at All-Star football game

YAKIMA -- The West defeated the East, 31-13, in the Earl Barden All-Star football classic on Saturday.

The game features the state's best 2A/1A/B talent.

Archbishop Murphy's JJ Quinlan, Lakewood's Jordan Stauffer and South Whidbey's David Monell all competed in the game.

Quinlan was voted most-inspirational player by his teammates and received a $500 Earl Barden scholarship.

The East jumped out to a 13-0 lead, but the West scored 31 unanswered points to win the game.
