Swine flu claims 2nd victim in Snohomish County

Swine flu has killed another resident of Snohomish County, the fourth person in Washington to die of the virus, health officials said Thursday.

The man died on June 24, was middle-aged, and had other health problems, according to Suzanne Pate, spokeswoman for the Snohomish Health District.

No other details were immediately available.

The death of a 39-year-old man from Snohomish County who had heart problems and viral pneumonia in May also was attributed to swine flu.

So far, 10 people in Snohomish County have been hospitalized with swine flu.
