MARYSVILLE -- A family is left without a home today after fireworks set the roof of their house ablaze.

Fire crews rushed to a home in the 5700 block of 66th Street NE just before 2 p.m., Marysville Fire District spokeswoman Kristen Thorstenson said. They arrived to find the home's roof engulfed in flames.

Local Red Cross volunteers are helping a family of three.

Nobody was hurt, but one of the family's cats was missing earlier this evening, Thorstenson said.

Investigators determined that fireworks started the fire.

Two dozen firefighters battled the blaze.
