HEALTH CARE

Selfish spending at root of problem

Let's see. Forty years ago we had a 1,000-square-foot house, one car and one person working and a two-party line. And we had reasonable health care.

Now we have 3,000-square-foot homes or more, two- or three-car garage, two or three cars that do not fit in the garage because it is full of stuff, a rented storage space with more stuff, kids with cell phones that Twitter useless info, a large screen TV, two people working (until the recent downturn), and the world's best health care, bar none. Now we need the government to help us out? Are we selfish or just stupid for listening to the liberals try to run everything in our lives? It is a question of making decisions on our own, and not letting the government decide for us.

Dump the junk, the Twitter, the multiple cars, get a smaller house and take care of yourself.

There is too much government involved in every aspect of our life.

This is not what our forefathers wanted. Thomas Jefferson said maybe a revolt every few years to start over would be a good thing. Maybe it is time. I am sure I will be hearing from the FBI since free speech is no longer legal either!

All our constitutional rights are being taken away slowly as we sit and watch our big screen TV and Twitter about Michael Jackson and other useless info. But hey, we get what we ask for!
