Ex-state lawmaker's latest fight is against British mining giant

by Jerry Cornfield Paul Stocker served the people of Snohomish County in the state Legislature for four terms in the 1950s.
Now, the 85-year-old Mill Creek attorney is helping the indigenous people of Bougainville Island in the South Pacific in their court battle against a British mining company, Rio Tinto.
What's the connection? He has family living on the island and he owns property on a neighboring island.
