Firefighters extinguish brush fire near Three Lakes

SNOHOMISH -- Firefighters on Sunday afternoon knocked down a one-acre brush fire in the Three Lakes area.

About 20 firefighters worked to put out a brush fire off Spada Road about 5:30 p.m., Snohomish County Fire District 4 Lt. Jerry Hagen said. It took more than an hour to knock down the flames.

Fire crews in Lake Stevens put out three small brush fires on Sunday, Lake Stevens Fire Department Battalion Chief Travis Hots said.

"Remember to never leave a fire unattended," he said.
