About 20 firefighters worked to put out a brush fire off Spada Road about 5:30 p.m., Snohomish County Fire District 4 Lt. Jerry Hagen said. It took more than an hour to knock down the flames. Fire crews in Lake Stevens put out three small brush fires on Sunday, Lake Stevens Fire Department Battalion Chief Travis Hots said. "Remember to never leave a fire unattended," he said.
