Active Duty

Army Spec. Joey A. Wardell has completed the Warrior Transition Course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. The course teaches basic skills necessary for integration into the Army for all prior-service servicemembers to fully prepare them for Advanced Individual Training or on to their first assignment. Wardell is a 1998 graduate of Cascade High School in Everett.

Ashley M. Dancer and her husband Michael A. Steward have been commissioned as a second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force after completing the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program and graduating with a bachelor's degrees from Arizona State University in Tempe. The daughter of James and Terry Dancer of Granite Falls, she will be assigned to Barksdale Air Force Base, Shreveport, La. Her husband, the son of Andrew Stewart of Tucson and Diane Stewart of Oro Valley, Ariz., will be assigned to the 17th Civil Engineer Squadron, Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas.
