Carman wins Car Club drag event at Pacific Raceways

The first round began with the Mopar Drag Team dominating the round, and the Ford Drag Team only bringing back five cars out of the 13 cars that they started with.
Don Berry kept the Pacific N.W. Camaro Club in the running, while Al Young kept the Mopar Drag Teams hopes alive.
In the semi-finals, it was Dave Carman in his ‘69 Cobra Jet Mach 1, defeating Berry’s ’64 Chevy II, and Kyle Laramore took his ’83 Mustang GT to victory over, Al Young in his ’69 Plymouth Roadrunner.
In the finals Carman dialed in at a 10.57 but broke out with a 10.56 E.T., but was relieved when Laramore who dialed in with an 11.88, broke out more, with a 11.86 E.T.
