The rumors proved to be true.
Congressman Norm Dicks will be the marquee political performer at an upcoming summit organized by Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon.
Getting him as the keynote speaker has required rescheduling the entire event. It will be pushed back a week from July 28 to Aug. 3. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Lynnwood Convention Center.
The event is entitled "Saving Washington Aerospace: Building a Competitive Platform" and will feature representatives of The Boeing Co. and the International Association of Machinists.
Other "champions" of aerospace will participate though their names have not yet been disclosed.
