Brews brothers

Stop me if you've heard this one: A president, a cop and a professor walk into a White House garden for a beer. A meeting among President Barack Obama, a Boston police officer and a black Harvard professor regarding the recent controversial arrest of the professor seemed to generate more interest in the contents of the beer mugs than the color of the conversation.

Obama was able to settle the differences between the two men, at least until both got in a shouting match over which was more important, “Great taste!” or “Less filling!”

The dogs are particularly attuned to phones whose ringtone is set to “Who Let the Dogs Out.”

Trust me on the sunscreen: Temperatures in Snohomish County began to cool a bit Thursday and are expected to dip to the upper 70s and mid-80s today.

Area residents should still exercise caution during the hot weather. Forecasters with the National Weather Service are warning of a 70 percent chance of pasty white fat guys going shirtless.
