State lottery director preparing to exit

Posted at 5:15 pm by Jerry Cornfield

No announcements, no press releases, only an e-mail.

That’s how Christopher Liu spread the word July 24 that he is resigning as director of the Washington Lottery. Liu intends to stay on the job until Gov. Chris Gregoire picks a successor.

Liu left the private sector to take over this position in April 2005. He’s not said where he will go when he lives the public sector.

In fact he's not said much at all.

Stay tuned.
