Police search for driver who struck woman in Mukilteo crosswalk

MUKILTEO – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who struck a woman walking in a Mukilteo crosswalk Tuesday.

The woman was hit about 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Possession Way and Harbour Pointe Boulevard West. She was walking with two small children eastbound in the crosswalk when she was struck by a silver sport utility vehicle. The driver allegedly rolled down his window and asked the woman if she was hurt.

She asked the man to call 911. He reportedly drove off, turning west onto Harbour Pointe Boulevard SW.

The woman was taken to Stevens Hospital in Edmonds. She is expected to recover from her injuries.

The driver is described as a white, older man. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to the call Mukilteo Police Department’s traffic unit at 425-263-8100, extension 3111.
