If you like to crunch numbers following an election, there's a new report you'll want to download.
The Federal Election Commission has put out is state-by-state results of the 2008 presidential election and all the contests for House and Senate seats. Go here and you'll be able to choose the full report or pieces of it.
While campaign managers may have a lot of this already, the average run-of-the-mill political junkie will be glad to have it all in one nearly 8 MB file.
There are state-by-state comparisons of popular vote and electoral college tallies, votes by political party cast in each state and a ton of maps.
I found the answer to my question of what percent of voting-age people actually cast ballots in the presidential election: 58.23 percent. (see page 5 for that one.)
Happy reaading.
