Election ballots are due on Tuesday
Time is running out to vote in Tuesday’s primary.
If you’re still clutching a ballot, remember it must be postmarked by Tuesday or put in a drop box by 8 p.m. for it to be counted. No postage is required on those placed in drop boxes.
Ballots will be collected today and Tuesday by workers stationed at six community locations.
Also, a touch-screen voting machine will be set up at the DisAbility Resource Connection in Everett for those who are disabled or simply do not want to vote by mail.
Roughly 370,000 voters are eligible to participate, with county election officials predicting 29 percent of them will do so.
The top two vote-getters in Tuesday’s contests will advance to the general election Nov. 3.
There are some other matters to be decided.
One of those is in Woodway, where residents are considering a $6.2 million bond measure to buy the Rosary Heights estate from an order of Dominican nuns. Nearly half the town’s registered voters had voted entering the weekend.
