Pay cut by chief is courageous

The announcement in the paper the other day that the director of Sno-Isle Libraries and other top officials of that agency will voluntarily take a 3 percent pay cut deserves high praise. Bravo! (Aug. 16 article, “Sno-Isle Libraries scales back, looks to tax increase.”)

Finally! After many years of writing to local agency directors in Snohomish County, one of them has stepped up and shown “leadership by example.” Others in other agencies should learn from this!
