Will the real Joe Wilson please stand up and take your flack

I got tied up on other stuff and didn't get this posted before Mike Seely of the Seattle Weekly.
Still, it's worth sharing here in its entirety.
Joe Wilson - the congressman who provided an early two-word Republican response to President Obama's health care address (You lie!) is causing a few headaches for just about anybody named Wilson and especially those named Joe.
I imagine Valerie Plame is having trouble clearing out the e-mail of her husband Joe - who you might remember earned a bit of notoriety for telling the last president he was lying about nukes in Iraq.
Closer to home, the Joe Wilson that voters in Snohomish County will see on their ballot in few weeks is feeling a bit of the heat too.
Joe "Snohomish County" Wilson is running for Superior Court judge. On his Facebook page today he posted a little campaign update and a reminder that he's not the guy earning all the national coverage
He did so because a few of local Joe's new fans didn't figure it out and decided to take a few shots at him - some nice, some not.
Here's what Wilson wrote to supporters and some of the cleaned up responses shared by his campaign.
"Hello everyone!
"First let me say that our campaign is going well. We're picking up endorsements from across Snohomish County, and are putting together a strong field campaign with well over 200 volunteers.
"Things are coming together as well as we could have hoped, and we're excited to host our kickoff event tonight at the Knights of Columbus in Everett.
"I am also amused to see how our support is growing across the country! Last night, a South Carolina congressman named Joe Wilson -- from the same state that is working to pull Boeing out of Washington -- yelled during President Obama's speech "You lie!"
"As a result he's gotten a great deal of national notoriety, and has since apologized for his lack of decorum.
"And, since I share the same name, some who may not know the difference between Snohomish County and South Carolina have decided to direct their anger or support at me. I've woken to 50 new Facebook fans as well! Most of the comments have been taken down, but folks keep posting more quickly than we can respond.
"So, for what it's worth, I think the Congressman was inappropriate and was right to apologize. Some of my new found "fans" should probably direct their affections elsewhere for more appropriate reasons.
"But, in any case, here in Snohomish County, we are working hard on our race for Superior Court! With less than 8 weeks to go till election day, we're well on our way and are looking forward to a win this November!
Best,
Joe Wilson
Candidate for Snohomish County Superior Court
From the campaign, here are some of the things posted on his page..
“Hello Mr. Congressman. I definitely support you and your rash comment in calling our Rookie President a liar. Truth is truth, and you put it out. I wish all of you Republicans would stop pussy-footing around and tell it like it is. The media certainly isn't! Way to go, and I hope you don't let them push you into compliance.”
-Karyn Frauli
“Hi Joe I proposed you run for mayor of sewerville.”
-Hipolito Lagares
Thank You so much for saying what we the American People have wanted to say. I live in Alaska and felt more represented by you tonight than I ever have by my own elected officials.
When our liberty is at stake of being lost I am sorry civility dosen't weigh in. Our founding fathers gave the kig and parliment hell, and did not worry about civility. Again thank you, I am sorry more did not follow you in a chorus of shouts ...until he was made to leave the chambers. He is a liar plain and simple.
