Tacoma News Tribune Week 3 football rankings

Archbishop Murphy's stay at No. 1 didn't last long.

The Wildcats soared to the top spot in the Tacoma News Tribune's Class 2A rankings after they beat then-No. 1 Lynden in week one. But this past weekend Murphy lost at Eastside Catholic. As a result, the Wildcats slipped a notch to No. 2. Prosser (2-0) is the new No. 1; Lynden (1-1) is No. 3.

Elsewhere in the TNT football rankings, Jackson (2-0) climbed a spot to No. 9 in 4A and Glacier Peak (2-0) remained No. 7 in 3A. Marysville-Pilchuck (2-0) and Meadowdale (2-0) are on the 4A and 3A watch lists, respectively. Here are links to the complete rankings.
