Crews attempt rescue after truck goes over embankment near Ice Caves
VERLOT – Snohomish County sheriff’s officials and firefighters were working this afternoon to rescue the driver of a truck who went over a steep embankment on a Forest Service Road off the Mountain Loop Highway.
Officials believe the man is injured, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. It wasn’t immediately clear the extent of the man’s injuries or how long he’d been stuck down the road.
The crash is along Forest Service Road 4060 near the Big Four Ice Caves, Hover said.
A passerby spotted the truck earlier today and reported the accident at the Verlot ranger station.
