BREAST CANCER WALK

Thanks to Everett citizens for support

I would like to thank the people and city of Everett for the outpouring of support and hospitality that was given to all the walkers and volunteer crew members of the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk over last weekend. As a resident of Everett and a volunteer crew member for Pit No. 4 (the Energizer pit), I was proud to see the cheering stations at Jackson Elementary and Verizon corporate office so well attended.

I would also like to thank the Forest Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church for lining the streets with balloons and providing cookies and spray bottles to keep the walkers cool, energized and motivated. Also, to Coffee Amore for providing sno-cones on such a warm day. You all rock!

Thank you, also, to all the citizens who stopped and asked questions about the reason for all the decorations and crazy costumes, which included volunteers in foam rabbit ears and fluffy white tails escorting walkers across the street, and those who honked or yelled encouragement to the walkers. This revitalized us, as crew, to help motivate and encourage the walkers to “Keep going!”

I am proud to be a resident of Everett and cannot express how much the support is appreciated!
