Wednesday press conference notes

Jim Mora held his Wednesday press conference this morning, and not surprisingly a lot of the time was dedicated to discussing injuries.
Here are the latest updates:
QB Matt Hasselbeck will not practice today, but has not been ruled out for Sunday. Mora said he would be comfortable letting Hasselbeck play Sunday without practicing this week if the team's medical staff and Hasselbeck felt good about it, so even if he doesn't practice, it's still possible we could see him out there Sunday against the Bears.
Tackle Sean Locklear, who has a high-ankle sprain, is out this week.
Tackle Walter Jones is expected to practice this week and could be back Sunday. "We'll see where he is at the end of the week," Mora said.
Center Chris Spencer and receiver Deion Branch are both expected to practice all week, and should be available Sunday.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who has been limited in practice with back spasms, will take today off but should be fine for Sunday.
Fullback Justin Griffith, who sprained his MCL, should be OK for Sunday's game, Mora said.
OK, now on to the defense:
Linebacker Leroy Hill had surgery on his groin last Friday, and Mora said it went well. Hill is still on target to return after the Oct. 25 bye.
Cornerback Josh Wilson (high ankle sprain) is out this week.
Linebacker Lofa Tatupu won't practice today, and may not all week, and Mora said he doesn't yet know if Tatupu will play Sunday.
DT Brandon Mebane (calf) won't practice today, but could be back later in the week and could be ready to go Sunday.
CB Travis Fisher (hamstring) is expected back for today's practice, and should play Sunday.
Fisher's return comes at a good time given Wilson's injury. Kelly Jennings will step into the starting lineup with Wilson out, but Fisher will be needed as a back up, and possibly in nickel packages. Mora said they'll decide later this week what to do in the nickel defense, and that the likely two choices are to used Fisher as the nickel back, or to move free safety Jordan Babineaux to nickel back and play Lawyer Milloy at safety in those packages.
