ATHLETIC FEATS

Congratulations, good luck to triathletes

We have two local triathletes who will be representing Washington in the Best of the U.S. competition at Lake Mission Beijo, Calif., on Sunday.

I just wanted to congratulate Rusty Pruden and Kim Pancoast for a job well done in the National Triathlon, which was held in Tuscaloosa, Ala. These two athletes demonstrated that they are the best in the West. Rusty and Kim both got 2009 U.S. State Medalist honors. Both made the IUT World Championship, which will be in Budapest, Hungary, on Aug. 29, 2010. I know they both will do their best to make Washington proud of them.

Best of luck to Rusty and Kim. Let’s cheer them on to victory.

Cindy Pruden
