Green Everett needs 50 volunteers for fair on Saturday

Posted at 9:02 am by Sarah Jackson

You say you want to go green. You say you want to get involved.

    Here's your chance!

Green Everett is hosting its fourth-annual Everett Renewable Living Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Snohomish County PUD in Everett.

More than 40 specialty vendors will be at the fair, which will also feature speakers, documentary movie screenings and activities for kids focused on sustainable living and renewable energy.

But you needn't wait until the fair — which is a jumping off point for the Snohomish County Solar Tour — to get involved.

Green Everett, a grassroots group of green-loving citizens, needs 50 volunteers to make the event go smoothly.

Training is at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 at Zippy's Java Lounge, 1804 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

    Easy.

Volunteers are needed to put up signs, check in vendors, help set up booths, answer questions about zero waste, collect information from vendors, pack up and clean up.

    Three-hour time slots are available between 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

What a great way to be a part of the fair, right?

Learn more about the fair at www.green-everett.org and get the skinny on Zippy's here.
