A 'cheerful malcontent' is leaving the press corps
Thursday, October 1, 2009 | 9:22 am
Our press corps is losing its most veteran and arguably most colorful member.
Joe Turner of the TNT (Tacoma News Tribune), revealed on his blog this morning that he will be putting down his pen and pad in a few weeks.
Here's his announcement
His departures will reverberate through the Capitol hallways because Joe is a personality like none other in the press corps and he knows so much about what goes on around here that isn't scribed into a report or presented at a hearing.
People. like me, like being around him. He's a quick wit with a touch of cynicism and a tad bit of curmudgeon.
Best of luck, Joe.
