Family of man hit by bus sues Sound Transit, driver
The family of a man hit by a bus in downtown Everett has filed a lawsuit against the driver and Sound Transit, according to a Seattle attorney.
Todd Fisher, 44, remains incapacitated by the injuries he suffered Feb. 20, according to James Rogers, the lawyer who represents Fisher's son and daughter. Fisher is living in a convalescent home in Vancouver, Wash.
The suit alleges that Fisher had a "walk" signal when he stepped into the crosswalk on Wetmore Avenue and was struck by a Sound Transit bus, according to a press release issued by Fisher on Friday.
The lawsuit was filed against the bus driver, Sound Transit and First Transit of Everett, a Community Transit subcontractor.
