Driver dies after vehicle crashes into Stanwood business

STANWOOD — A young man was dead after the car he was driving late on Saturday crashed into a building.

A man in his mid-20s was fatally injured after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a commercial building in the 9700 block 271st Street NW, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Rob Palmer said.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, he said.

Two other people were in the car. It was not immediately known if they were hurt, Palmer said. He had no other details Sunday afternoon.
