"It's killing me right now," Asomugha said. "They kept putting numbing drops in, but that would go away after about five minutes. The cornea was damaged on the third play of the game. I got hit in the eye by DeSean (Jackson), so we'll check it out tomorrow." Also in that game, Philadelphia left tackle Jason Peters is among three Eagles scheduled for MRI exams on Monday following injuries. Peters hurt his left knee midway through the first quarter and didn't return. Coach Andy Reid called Peters' injury a sprained knee, but it was thought to be worse. Defensive end Victor Abiamiri sprained a knee late in the game and linebacker Omar Gaither sprained a foot, Reid said. Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards was knocked out of the team's 16-13 overtime win over the New York Jets with a concussion following a sack early in the second quarter Sunday. The Bills announced that Edwards had suffered a blow to the head, and coach Dick Jauron confirmed it was concussion after the game. On third-and-2 from the Bills 43, Edwards was taken down by David Harris and Calvin Pace and remained on the turf for a few moments. He gingerly got up and slowly walked to the sideline with trainers. Edwards sat on the bench with his helmet on as the trainers spoke with him for several minutes. Jets nose tackle Kris Jenkins left the loss with what coach Rex Ryan called a "probably severe" left knee injury. Ryan didn't want to speculate further on the future of Jenkins, one of the team's defensive stars, until he had an MRI exam. Jenkins' leg was heavily wrapped after the game, and he left the stadium on crutches. "We'll know much more about it (Monday)," Ryan said. "Unfortunately, I think it's probably severe. I'm not sure, though." Jauron also said safety Donte Whitner left early with an injured ankle, defensive tackle Kyle Williams has an injured shoulder, cornerback Terrence McGee has a bruised chest and tight end Shawn Nelson suffered a concussion. Quarterback Daunte Culpepper, playing in place of the injured Matthew Stafford, hurt his right hamstring on a scramble on the Lions' first possession of the third quarter. Culpepper wasn't hit on the play, but began limping just before he reached the sideline. He took one more snap before Drew Stanton relieved him. Culpepper wasn't having a good day even before the injury, going 6 of 14 for 48 yards, an interception and two sacks. Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield left the game against Baltimore with an injury to his right foot. The Vikings had two more scary injuries in the fourth quarter. Running back Adrian Peterson hurt his left ankle while it got caught underneath Baltimore's Dannell Ellerbe during a tackle. He limped off the field and sat out a few plays during Minnesota's next series, but was back in for the following possession and said afterward he was fine. "I was in some pain, though. It wasn't broke or anything, so right now it's feeling real good," Peterson said. Wide receiver Percy Harvin also aggravated an injury to his left shoulder that had him listed as questionable for the game. Harvin got hurt while being tackled on a kickoff return and was later taken away on a cart. Defensive end Antwan Odom has a severe Achilles' tendon injury that will leave the Cincinnati Bengals without their top pass rusher indefinitely. Odom was tied for the league lead with eight sacks when he got hurt during the first quarter of Houston's 28-17 victory. Coach Marvin Lewis said afterward that the injury is "probably pretty severe," but tests would determine its extent. Cincinnati starting defensive tackle Domata Peko also suffered a knee injury in the first quarter and didn't return, leaving the line depleted. Also, Patriots running back Sammy Morris didn't return after hurting his left knee on the Patriots' third offensive play against the Titans.
