USS Ford returns to Everett today

EVERETT — The USS Ford is expected back on Everett’s waterfront today after a six-month deployment to the Pacific Ocean.

The USS Ford served as law enforcement for the region. Its personnel helped fight drug operations and general maritime security.

For two weeks, the guided-missile frigate worked with a dozen other ships from Chile, Brazil, France and the United Kingdom on practicing combined naval operations, including anti-submarine warfare and gunnery exercises. The crew also attend events in Mejillones, Chile.
