Police spokesman Oleg Kurochkin told The Associated Press that Ryazanov died Tuesday after a head-on collision near the city of Vladimir, about 125 miles east of Moscow. Kurochkin said the 22-year-old Ryazanov veered into oncoming traffic. Ryazanov recently returned from London, where he finished third in the individual all-around competition at worlds. At 2004 Athens Olympics, he finished seventh.
