Police Beat

Oct. 4

Controlled substance. 19200 block of 15th Ave. NE. Driver was stopped for expired tabs. Drug paraphernalia was discovered in plain view on the floor of the vehicle.

Oct. 7

Arson. 16000 25th Ave. NE. An incendiary fire was started at a middle school in the Activities Center boys’ bathroom. The suspects were identified by school officials.

Oct. 9

Larceny. 4500 15th Ave. NE. Suspect entered the Goodwill and attempted to steal $32.41 worth of clothing by concealing the items underneath his jacket. The suspect walked right past manned cash registers.

Fraud. 16700 3rd Ave. NE. Victim fell for an Internet scam and is now out $1,350.

Disturbance. Ballinger Way NE/Bothell Way NE. A bus stopped going southbound on Bothell Way after two female passengers got into a verbal altercation. One of the elderly females threw items off of the other female’s seat.

Oct. 10

Threats. Densmore Ave. N. Suspect in a domestic dispute with father. Threatened to kill father and any police officer that responded. Suspect armed with a large butcher knife and attempted to grab an unloaded rifle from the father’s room. Suspect was booked into King County Youth Center.

Assault. 14600 15th Ave. NE Police responded to an assault at a local restaurant and bar.

Burglary. NW 197th St. No forced entry. Burglar entered house through loosely secured French double doors at the rear of the residence. Stole $400 cash from bedroom dresser.

Theft. 15500 33rd Ave. NE. Victim’s jewelry, figurines and perfume was stolen. She believed her housekeeper, a family friend, stole her items as she was the only person with access to victim’s bedroom.

Suspicious circumstances. 17400 Brookside Blvd. NE. Police were called after resident saw six “scruffy” males walking near the stream. Police learned the males were volunteers and students earning school credit by counting fish as part of a stream keepers program.

Oct. 14

Fourth degree assault. 17500 block of Ashworth. Victim and her father came to police station to report she was pushed and harassed by three unknown males on her way to and from high school.

Controlled substance. 17500 15th Ave. NE. Suspect injects heroin in bathroom of café.

Oct. 16

Threats. 14700 Bothell Way NE. Victim received prank calls about killing Jews and was advised to call the police if prank calls persisted. Police officer called prankster at number listed on victim’s phone. Prankster didn’t believe it was the police.
