Sell: Holiday craft items for bazaar

Snohomish Seniors, a nonprofit organization that promotes the well being of older adults, is looking for handcrafters with items suitable for holiday shoppers for their annual bazaar on Nov. 14.

There are a limited number of spaces available. Crafters will pay a flat fee of $30 per space for this event.

The bazaar is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth Street in Snohomish. All fundraising events help support the programs and services of the Snohomish Senior Center.

Support: Sherwood Services dinner

Sherwood Community Services’ ninth annual Scoring Goals for Disabilities dinner and auction is planned on Oct. 29 at the Everett Events Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett.

Sherwood is a nonprofit located in Lake Stevens. Proceeds support services for children and adults throughout Snohomish County, including early intervention, vocational and assistive technology services.

Registration and the silent auction will start at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner and live auction starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $85 and include a steak and salmon dinner.

Volunteer: River salmon tour guides

Washington State University Extension and Snohomish County 4-H is seeking volunteers, ages 15 and older, interested in becoming tour guides for the annual river salmon tours in Gold Bar.

The training workshop will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Wallace River Hatchery, 14418 383rd Ave. SE, Gold Bar. School tours will be Nov. 2-6. The training teaches the life story of salmon, about their habitat, the role of hatcheries, how to help restore salmon populations and how to share this information with others attending the river salmon tours.

Those 15 years or older may apply to be a guide.

View: Mill Creek Rotating Art Exhibit

The Mill Creek Arts and Beautification Board will open its second Rotating Art Exhibit on Monday with an artist’s reception at Mill Creek City Hall, 15728 Main Street.

Refreshments will be served at the reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

The exhibit features local artist Ken Long. His watercolor paintings will be displayed in the lobby of city hall.
