Eyman to discuss I-1033 Monday at Edmonds CC

LYNNWOOD — Initiative 1033 promoter Tim Eyman will discuss the statewide measure in a town hall-style forum at Edmonds Community College on Monday.

The Mukilteo resident will be the guest on “Civic Engagement,” an hour-long public affairs cable program hosted by D.J. Wilson. The free event will be in the Black Box Theater. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with taping to begin about 7 p.m.

Of 200 available seats, about 30 will be reserved for students and faculty and the remainder divided equally between proponents and opponents of the initiative.

Audience members will have an opportunity to ask Eyman questions about the initiative that aims to limit annual collections of tax revenues for cities, counties and the state. Any money collected above the limit would be used to lower the property taxes paid by individuals and businesses.

The theater is on Edmonds Community College campus at 20000 68th Ave W in Lynnwood
