I'm at Lakewood High School today covering the 2009 Cascade Conference and Western Conference Divisional Cross Country Championships.

Basically, these are the league championship races for boys and girls in the Wesco North, Wesco South and Cascade Conference. I'm writing about all six varsity races.

The Jackson boys team and Glacier Peak girls team (running right now) are both nationally ranked.

Here is a video clip from the Cascade Conference girls race. Freshman Rhiannon Alexander of Granite Falls won it in meet-record time. Sultan's Rici Morrill placed second.
