Make sense of solar: A program called Making Sense of Solar is 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Camano multipurpose center, 141 N. East Camano Drive, Camano Island.

Suzanne Frew, manager of residential programs at the Snohomish County Public Utility District, will provide information about how the PUD “solar express” program can bring solar energy to homes. Also learn about financial incentives and a federal tax credit.

The program is sponsored by WSU Island County Beach Watchers.

Support Sherwood Services at dinner: Sherwood Community Services’ ninth annual Scoring Goals for Disabilities dinner and auction is 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Sherwood is a nonprofit organization in Lake Stevens. Proceeds support services for children and adults throughout Snohomish County, including early intervention, vocational and technology services.

Registration and a silent auction will start at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner and live auction starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $85 and include a steak or salmon dinner.

For more information, call 425-334-4071.

Another roundabout: The public is invited to review the state Department of Transportation’s plans for a new roundabout at the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 531 at an open house set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.

The open house includes a hearing at 7 p.m. for property owners near the roundabout project.
