Focus on Farming Conference
What: A full day of events on how farmers can succeed in business. Attend workshop sessions, a trade show with exhibitors, and talks including speakers such as former Secretary of Agriculture for New Jersey Charles Kuperus.
A free summit on agriculture land use and policy precedes the conference on Nov. 4. For information on the summit, contact Ryan Hembree at ryan.hembree@snoco.org or 425-388-7112.
When: All day Nov. 5; check-in begins at 7 a.m.
Where: Tulalip Resort and Conference Center, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip (resort Web site).
Cost: $40 per person on or before Oct. 30, $50 per person after (and at the door). Fee includes morning coffee and baked goods, a gourmet lunch, and a wine-and-cheese tasting and the Baxter Black show in the evening. Attendees under 18 years of age pay $10, but advance registration is required.
