Homicide investigation under way in Lynnwood
LYNNWOOD — A call to police this morning about a recent fight between brothers has triggered a homicide investigation.
A man in his early 60s called 911 around 9 a.m., Snohomish County sheriff’s Capt. Dave Bales said.
The man told deputies that he’d recently argued with his brother and the dispute may have escalated to gunfire, Bales said. A language barrier made it difficult for deputies to understand the man. The fight could have occurred in the past few days.
Deputies searched the property in the 19100 block of 18th Avenue W. in unincorporated Lynnwood and found a dead man outside the home.
“At this point we’re not sure what the facts are,” Bales said.
The man who called police was being detained as detectives waited for a search warrant.
The dead man has not yet been identified.
Police do not believe there is a danger to neighbors.
