Where to go for swine flu vaccine and who is eligible
Turnout for today's swine flu vaccine clinics is expected to be large. The county's flu Web site, snocoflu.com, will provide regular updates on which sites have the longest wait times. The county's Flu Hotline 425-388-5088 will be operating today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There's no charge for the vaccine, but it will be limited today to the following priority groups:
Pregnant women
Anyone from 6 months through 24 years of age
People who care for children younger than 6 months of age such as parents, siblings and day care providers
People 25 to 64 years old who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk of complications from influenza, such as influenza, diabetes, asthma and heart problems
Teachers and child care providers
Health care workers and first responders
Who can't get the flu vaccine:
Healthy people 25 to 64 years old
Seniors 65 and up, since seniors have been getting swine flu at rates far less than younger people
The clinics
All swine flu immunization clinics will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
