COUNTY COUNCIL

Hiatt-Watson providing leadership we need

In the past I have supported John Koster by donation, yard signs and votes. This year he has lost my vote because of his failure to represent the voters of his district. The citizens in the Warm Beach area challenged in court a development that would have affected their community. The county was found in violation of its own codes in approving permits. Then the 7-Lakes Group challenged a different development of 600 homes in their area. Again the county was found violating its own codes.

We need a County Council member who will take strong leadership in helping to reform county government. The leadership is coming from Ellen Hiatt-Watson who is working to protect the way of life so many enjoy.

For two years we have seen her in action. She has proven herself as a leader and qualified to be a member of the county council. John Koster’s failure to represent us is one of the reason that Hiatt-Watson is challenging him. Of the Republicans in my area I know none who will vote for him. However, it does not matter if a County Council member is a Republican or Democrat, if they lose touch with the voters it is time for a change.
